A Brief History of My Photography

I am a serious amateur photographer and have been since buying my first 35mm camera in 1970.  Through that decade, I bought considerable other camera equipment.  I experimented with various forms of lighting, a focusing rail and a darkroom.  I had a few photography courses, but not so many that they may hurt my art.  I read several books by and about old masters - particularly Edward Weston and Ansel Adams.  One of the quotes I remember from those days may have been from Weston - talking about photography that proceeded his era.  "They spent so much time making it perfect; they forgot to make it beautiful.."
